17 Great Bible Verses for Building a Stronger Marriage

husband and wife 20

Marriage, despite what society says, is more than a business contract. Marriage is a covenant between two people and Christ. Even more, it is supposed to be a physical reporesentation of Christ’s relationship with the Church.

If then, marriage is so important, wouldn’t it make sense for the enemy to want to destroy it? Remember, we do not battle against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12).

Your marriage is important. Thankfully, the Lord has given us plenty of wisdom within the Bible that we can use to build and strengthen our marriages. I pray that the Lord uses these Scriptures and softens your heart to understand the wisdom He would like to share with you.

I must add, an abusive marriage is NEVER justified, and I am so sorry if you have found yourself in such a relationship. That was never the Lord’s design for marriage. Get out and get help.

You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
